K is for King Cave

Our theme for the A - Z Challenge -- book covers. To view other bloggers participating in challenge, and to learn about the deets, please go HERE.

Dani – A gorgeous girl graces the cover with a beautiful cave surrounding her, and I really like the sepia tint to it.

Jax - The water, and the outline of the cave, doesn't tell whether she's inside or out, which I like! It makes for a mysterious cover.

  1. I don't read a lot of series books with contemporary YA. I'm not into the Gossip Girl type books. I might read one or two, and it's not that they're bad, I just tend to like the issue stories than the easy and fun stories.

So this post got me thinking. What do you do when you run into a book that's part of a series, but you want to read book 2 or 3 and haven't read the first. And maybe don't want to. Do you go back and start at 1 or do you start with 3?

    1. Great question, Suzi! I like to start with book 1, even if book 3 looks more interesting. I'd feel like I'd be missing out on info if I dove into the middle of a series, and I think I'd have a disconnection with the characters ... of course, it could also be a little OCD trickling in, too. :D
How about you? What are your thoughts on it? ~ Jax
