Severus Snape, from J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, is one of the most amazing characters written, in my opinion. His journey throughout the HP novels is unforgettable, important, and brilliant. To see Snape come to life on the big screen via Alan Rickman, made me adore him even more. Rickman was born to play that role.
Some movie quote love:
"There will be no foolish wand waving or silly incantations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion making. However, for those select few who possess the predisposition... I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even put a stopper in death." (The Sorcerer's Stone)
"Well, well, Lupin. Out for a little walk... in the moonlight, are we?" (The Prisoner of Azkaban)
"You might be laboring under the delusion that the entire wizarding world is impressed with you." (The Goblet of Fire)
I agree that he is a great character. I find my favorites are always those that contain multiple layers and depth- Snape is one of those well- written characters.
